CONTROLLER/HUMAN RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION:

This is a full time salaried position which is both a management and leadership role in the organization.  Specifically, the Controller manages the Finance Department, is responsible for our finance and internal control systems, is responsible for our periodic financial reporting, and has day to day responsibility for the execution of our finance plan while also managing the Human Resources function.  This a role that requires a highly motivated and responsible individual who is ultimately results oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of our annual operating budget for the site with the CFO and SVP, Resonetics Switzerland
  • Primary Finance interface with local outside contacts including Independent Auditors and local agencies.
  • Responsible for Periodic Reporting including:
    1. Daily cash activity / position
    2. Weekly cash flow projection and “flash report”
    3. Preparation of timely Monthly financial statements and supplemental reporting requirements
    4. Annual Report
    5. Identify and develop finance and related metrics that are useful to other departments and managers to help achieve mutual efficiency and earnings goals.
  • Responsible for timely monthly and annual general ledger closings and supporting analysis including identification of accounting issues and a thorough account variance and ratio analysis.
  • Cash Management
  • Acting as the main point of contact for local external IT resources
  • Cost accounting
  • Tax compliance
  • Human Resource Management includes the planning, evaluating and implementing of human resources policies, procedures and programs.
  • Providing procedural guidelines to both the leadership and employees in areas pertaining to personnel administration, employee benefits, performance management and HR policies.
  • Administer the performance review process.
  • Participate in any all employee disciplinary action to ensure consistency but the supervisor/manager: provide guidance/support to managers in writing disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A BS or Master’s degree in business or finance, with a concentration in accounting is required.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory accounting role, including responsibilities for financial and cost accounting, monthly general ledger closings, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and an integrated ERP system are required
