Facilities Manager

The Facility and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the direct oversight and planning of subcontractors, the oversight of routine maintenance and housekeeping, and making recommendations for capital investment and building enhancements.  Will provide technical support, preventative maintenance and general upgrade and repair for the Company’s laser based micromachining workstations and ancillary equipment as well centerless grinding workstations.

This person will lead the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety Program and will ensure the Company is compliant with all Governmental and Local Laws and Regulations.


  • Facility oversight including all plumbing, HVAC, electrical, Air Compressor, fire, security, communications and IT systems, and housekeeping activities.
  • Establishment and maintenance of preventive plans and service agreements for facility related equipment, including fixed production support equipment.
  • As required, provide technical support for all production facility requirements.
  • Implement cost reduction programs for contracted services and utilities.
  • Ensure the Company complies with all Governmental and Local Laws and Regulations including the timely filing of all permits and reports, including employee training.
  • Ensure all Safety Policies and Procedures are documented and current, and all employees have been properly trained.
  • Leads the Company’s Safety Committee, holding regular meetings and facility safety audits to ensure all areas are compliant and safe. Report any findings and subsequent corrective actions to the appropriate responsible manager for action and closure.
  • Determine facility capital budget additions and enhancements.
  • Scheduling Service Technicians to maintain preventative maintenance schedules and to effectively repair unplanned equipment failures in a timely manner.
  • Additional areas of focus include, but are not limited to: procedure generation, failure mode and repair record keeping, maintenance and repair scheduling, technician training, laser refurbishments, troubleshooting, system installations and support.
  • Review and maintain necessary maintenance procedures for compliance to ISO and FDA maintenance requirements.
  • Recommend production equipment improvements based on observation and available technologies.
  • Manage employee conduct or performance in a manner consistent with Company policies and culture.
  • Establish and control departmental budget and P&L.
  • Work with Quality to design, implement, and monitor quality awareness and improvement programs.
  • Ensure that the Company’s environmental, health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and communication.
  • Monitor timesheets for maintenance personnel.


  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a high pace manufacturing technical environment and 3 years’ experience in a managerial role.
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent Engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills.
  • Solid understanding of Governmental and Local Laws and Regulations as they relate to Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Project Management Experience


  • Previous experience building a new Site from scratch
  • Experience in laser and grinding workstations setup and operation.
  • Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt.


  • Due to the nature of the business being open 24/7, have the ability to work long and off hours to support the Company’s requirements.
