IT Security Manager

Boston/Nashua

DESCRIPTION:

The IT Security Manager will serve as Resonetics’ expert on cybersecurity protection, detection, response, and recovery.  The resource will provide the vision and hands-on technical expertise required to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Resonetics’ electronic information and systems.  This role oversees all security-related efforts including the security program, security risk management, and security vendor management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Own accountability for security of Resonetics’ IT systems and data and serve as the Resonetics’ security expert
    • Partner with SMEs across business functions and IT leadership to provide critical input required to develop a multiyear IT security roadmap
    • Act as a hands-on security architect across a global hybrid cloud environment
    • Assume technical leadership role on cybersecurity projects as well as provide support for day-to-day hands-on security-related activities
    • Responsible for the planning, design, and build of security architectures
    • Manage security vendors and security-related engagements
    • Detect and mitigate cyber incidents and vulnerabilities, and coordinate all incident response activities
    • Ensure proper security monitoring and threat detection processes and systems are in place
    • Define, document, and ensure compliance to IT security-related processes, policies, and procedures
    • Influence adoption of security best practices and create and oversee global security training program
    • Act as the Resonetics point of contact for all security audits/reviews

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in a senior security engineer or higher role
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity frameworks and security awareness programs
  • Strong understanding of security controls/services in hybrid cloud environment
  • Solid understanding of network architecture and network, system, and application security
  • Experience with and advanced understanding of common information security management frameworks
  • Ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various levels ranging from C-level executives to technical specialists

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
  • Global manufacturing environment experience
  • CISSP
  • Ability to work within an Agile/Scrum framework
  • Experience working on M&A integration teams

Physical Demands:

Occasional travel required (10% or less)
