Payroll and T&E Manager

The Payroll Manager is a member of the Accounting team that reports to the VP, Global Controller. The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing and recording of Resonetics payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information.  This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities.

Process a multi-state, bi-weekly US payroll consisting of a heavy non-exempt workforce via ADP Workforce Now in addition to managing multiple managed payrolls in Costa Rica and other international locations as the business continues to grow. This individual will be provided the opportunity to manage the payroll and T&E function across all of the US locations and expected to look for ways to improve the payroll process.  In addition, they will be provided the opportunity to implement new or enhanced systems. They will work closely with HR on personnel changes and benefits administration.


  • Maintain and audit payroll records to ensure changes are within corporate controls
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer’s social security, unemployment, and worker’s compensation payments
  • Calculate overtime and shift pay differential
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations and provide general ledger support
  • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and ensure effective accounting support
  • Management of T&E system
  • Facilitates management and understanding of payroll procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Associates Degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Payroll, preferably with ADP Workforce Now
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now & Time and Attendance systems
  • Experience managing multi-state & international payrolls
  • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of payroll/general ledger systems and procedures
  • Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrate proactive approach and is flexible with regards to change
  • Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
