Stamping

Precision stamping can make all the difference in the complexities of your medical device.

Even the thinnest or most intricate metal component is not a challenge for Resonetics. Small, complex precision tolerance specifications are achieved by our world class know-how and on-site team, ensuring our speed to innovate with experience and precision.

Resonetics combines metal fabrication and laser processing capabilities with stamping and tool making to produce small, complex, thin metal stampings with precision tolerances in high volume.

Our on-site automation and tooling team provides the ability to iterate and scale quickly and efficiently while combining stamping with photochemical machining, creating complex components utilized in your medical devices

 

STAMPING OVERVIEW

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Progressive stamping dies for piece part, coil, or strip processing of various metal alloys from 0.0254 mm (0.001 in) thick
  • Finished critical feature tolerances to ±0.008 mm (±0.0003 in) at min 1.5 Cpk
  • Position to 0.006 mm (0.0002 in)
  • Shape to ±0.006 mm (±0.0002 in)
  • Flatness to 0.01 mm (0.0004 in)

WORLD CLASS TOOLING FABRICATION

  • Dedicated on-site tool room
  • Fully equipped with precision grinders, mills, spinners, lathes, heat treat oven and specialty processes (WEDM, CNC Jig Grind, CNC Surface Grind)
  • Class A toolmakers with > 20 years of experience
  • Extensive experience with tungsten carbide and tool steels
  • Die component assembly tolerances to 5μm (0.0002 in) with moving components timed to 1.3μm (50 Âμin)
 

Coiling

Resonetics’ coil properties are designed with functionality in mind.

Unique functionality is why we offer a variety of coil winding techniques and services that provide the conductivity, kink resistance, flexibility, torque and radiopacity your device requires.

Whether round, ribbon or coated, we make coils for embolization, reinforcing catheters and other devices for the neurological and endovascular markets.
