Integration & Testing

Successful sensor integration depends on both precise design and rigorous testing. Resonetics® delivers standard and custom sensor solutions that fit seamlessly into complex medical devices, with proven testing protocols that ensure accurate data collection and reliable performance.

Sensor Integration

As medical devices become smaller and more complex, the demand for custom sensors integrated directly into these systems continues to grow. Resonetics supplies both standard and custom sensors that can be built into subassemblies, catheter delivery systems, or complete devices. Our engineers work with you to define the optimal integration process, ensuring sensors collect accurate data during use. We also help address critical design questions, including how a sensor may affect device behavior, steerability, or the thermal response of a temperature probe in a compact design. Our process reduces uncertainty and prevents errors caused by improperly secured sensors, helping ensure your devices perform exactly as intended.

Sensor Testing

Testing is one of the most critical steps in adding sensing technology to a medical device, ensuring each sensor functions properly and meets performance requirements. Our engineers develop customized testing protocols and equipment to support every stage of sensor fabrication and assembly.

For fiber optic sensors, each unit is tested and calibrated prior to shipment, with the readout unit applying this calibration data during operation. For electromechanical sensors, testing is performed throughout manufacturing to verify proper function at every step. Functional testing is conducted both before integration and after final assembly to deliver consistent, reliable outcomes.
