Reagent & Chemistry Handling

Resonetics® precision automated reagent placement and coating machines unlock the full potential of microfluidic components. Backed by deep process knowledge, our team is ready to help you enhance component and assembly performance through accurate reagent coating and spotting, ensuring reliable and high-performing results.

Automated Reagent Placement and Coating

Using either non-contact or contact quantitative fluid dispensing systems, we can apply reagents to custom microfluidic devices and PoC/PoT diagnostic tests with accuracy and consistency. Our automated reagent placement systems can dispense and aspirate volumes ranging from just a few nanoliters up to microliters. High-resolution syringe pumps, integrated with advanced control systems, deliver droplets exactly where needed within a fraction of a millimeter. The equipment can be programmed to place single drops, draw precise lines of reagent, or flood specific areas with multiple drops, offering the flexibility to meet the unique requirements of each application.

Reagent Application for Lab-on-a-Chip Devices

Precise control of surface properties is essential to developing reliable, efficient, and multifunctional Lab-on-a-Chip (LoC) devices. Many LoC assays require one or more reagents to generate test results, and pre-loading these reagents can reduce handling steps for the end user while extending product shelf life. Accurate reagent application is critical to achieving optimal functionality, making it a key factor in the performance of next-generation diagnostic devices.
