Centerless Grinding

Industry Leading Prototype Solutions

The Resonetics Lightspeed Lab is a group of engineers and technicians deploying dedicated, state-of-the-art equipment to provide quick-turn prototyping solutions for the medical device and advanced diagnostic markets. Each Lightspeed Lab has technology expertise and develops manufacturing processes that can easily scale to high-volume production, which enables our customers to develop and launch products in record time.

Experts in Centerless Grinding

Our Centerless Grinding Lightspeed Lab team can produce parts with nearly limitless features and profiles. We use automated custom centerless grinding equipment, which allows us to hold diameter tolerances of +/-0.0001 inches. We also design and build our own profile inspection equipment that allows us to measure the true profile of our ground wires.

Our grinding experts have the production experience to understand what it takes to develop a manufacturing process that can produce prototype parts and easily scale to high-volume production. We work with your product development team to understand the needs of your device and quickly quote and deliver prototype parts. We also offer additional value-add services, including media blasting, forming, laser marking, CNC machining, and laser welding. When it’s time for production, our Lightspeed Lab team will manage the process validation process for a smooth transition to our production team.

Working with the Lightspeed Lab

The primary goal of our Lightspeed Lab is to accelerate our customer’s product development cycle. This acceleration is accomplished via:

  • Direct engineer-to-engineer engagement
  • Sense of urgency
  • Commitment to quality

We can solve the most difficult problems because we are committed to innovation and invest in R&D to develop next-generation manufacturing processes and equipment.
